A Virtual Place for the Student Witch
This is not a Wiccan site though Wiccans are very welcome here. Wicca is a religion, and this site is not a religious site. This site covers the practicality of being a witch, and, though all Wiccans are witches, not all witches are Wiccans.
Being a witch is not, by default, a religious path; it is, however, very much a spiritual path. Religions have rules and celebrations, definitions and debate. Spirituality just simply exists. It exists in birdsong; it exists in the busy mechinations of an ant; it exists in the exhale of a baby; and it exists in you. You are spirit, and everything around you is spirit. Spirit is love and all is spirit, and this is the only truth.
So you won’t find the Rule of Three here, nor will you be taught when or how to celebrate the Sabbats. There are plenty of wonderful websites and groups who will initiate you into the Wiccan religion. The experiential education that this website espouses is difficult and long. It starts with cleaning the body and quieting the mind, and though this may sound easy, changing human programming is never an easy task.
Being a witch is very similar to being a priest or a nun – we hear the calling. You can try to ignore it, and you may be successful for many years. But it never leaves you for very long. There will be a hunger, a yearning, an emptiness. It will feel like a piece of you is missing; it will feel like a hole inside you that hurts. That is the calling of the witch.
If you are here and these words resonate with you, then welcome to The Path, my fellow witch. There is no destination. You simply are a witch and have been since the day you were born.
